Liz Houghton was born raised and educated in England and moved to the United States as an adult.
She has been a licensed realtor since 2005 in Georgia and California and has helped clients buy, sell and invest in many properties, acted as project manager on renovation projects, prepared homes for sale and provided home appraisals for mortgage providers.
Her business has evolved over time and for the last five years or so has been focused on helping older adults find and move into the right home - or senior living community - for the Next Chapter of their lives, as well as preparing their existing home for sale by providing packing, organization, donation and senior move management services for all of the excess "stuff".
Decades of wear and tear of raising a family often leaves homes in need of a few upgrades or even a full update and renovation. But most of her older clients didn't want to deal with having work done - and as a result sold their homes for less money than they could have with even a few strategic upgrades. So Liz set out to find a way to do it all without the homeowners input if necessary.
We need to go back a while in time to see how this all came about. Prior to reinventing herself in real estate in 2005 Liz had started and built a marketing consulting firm based in Silicon Valley. Over the two decades she owned the business she invested in real estate and flipped more than a few homes herself. She later used that experience to manage renovations for busy corporate clients.
As a result of this knowledge Liz understands which updates or renovation projects are most likely to result in a higher sales price and has the ability to make this happen without clients having to do a thing - or even be in town.
And perhaps even more important they don't have to pay for the work until the property is sold. These skills transfer well into the probate niche.
